With licks of goodbye Tessa said her "goodbyes". For everyone for Mandy and Braddock they went back and forth trying to get outside. The three are settling down in this quit time of reflection. The puppies offically left at 7:10 am this morning, with one planned stop over on the east side of the state. I hope everyone has an exciting day.

Getting ready to Go!!
Well the time has passed quickly and this weekend the puppies will be off to their new homes. The puppies have grown quickly and are ready for a new home. They spend their days playing with each other, mother, Grandma Mandy, Braddock, and Levi. I am excited to see them off to their new lives, I am sure each new owner will really enjoy the happiness that a boxer puppy will bring. Just a few notes, none of the puppies in this litter snore, I have one that sounds kind of like a dove, but that is really quit soft dove (seriously I have never heard a puppy that sounds like a dove when they sleep.) Kennel training is important, we have started working with them on kennel training and all of them are really comfortable in sleeping in an oversize kennel. We go with over sized to give them the feeling of more room. The puppies are on Large breed Purina we try and use dog foods that can be found locally for everyone. Please feel free to slowly switch your puppy to your chosen puppy food, we will be providing you a limited amount puppy food to assist you in switching. See each of you soon.

Talking with the puppies
So this is the first litter that has wanted to talk and talk. Jayden is my biggest talker, she wants to talk with me about everything. I am finding that I have a very talkative litter overall. They often want someone to come and talk with them, we usually cuddle, but if I am not talking to them they are not happy. I am finding Mandy is spending a great deal of time with them as well. I am not sure exactly what is telling them, or why Braddock is spending extra time with them (usually I am seeing lots of daddy kisses, but they have lots to say and he has even started talking back to them (this is my never talk boy). It is the strangest thing. I think we will be moving to expand the whelping kennel soon. This gives them a lot more playing area, usually they decide one side is for sleeping and one side for playing. Tessa is also very involved, she is sticking her nose in on the whelping kennel to see what is going on with everyone. It will be interesting to see how this group deals with the expansion of the whelping kennel. I have one that will sleep on his / her back and coo like a pigeon, no joke!! I think I will let the new owner discover that one. Hope everyone is excited, Emily is planning on her next batch of pictures this week. So expect some extra pictures in your e-mail box.

Cody, Jayden and Dad
Today has been a really fun day for the boxer puppies. Today I watched as Cody and Jayden dropped the front paws in a typical boxer pose when Braddock came over to them. His response was to give them both a lick. They loved it so much they bounced right up to him and he responded with a nuzzle to the side. The game was on, Cody attacked from the left and Jayden to the right, grabbing those sagging lips. Braddock responded with quick licks to both of them and they released. It was really nice to see the three of them getting along so well. Tessa came over when she heard the noise and checked it out. Mandy checked in on them as well. The puppies are eating gruel now and this gives them a lot of energy to be used in play time. I introduced them to a tennis ball, they quickly discovered the entertainment in a ball and started hitting the ball around. in the next week I will start giving them some chew toys because I can already feel the teeth. No wonder Tessa is happy to look in on them, but doesn't really want to go and lay down anymore. We will continue to encourage her and continue to provide lots of play and nap time.

updates on the puppies
So the puppies eyes are open and they are learning to walk which is really a lot of fun. This batch has a lot of weight and are pretty chubby as you will see in this video so we see a lot more of standing up and just rolling over. Tessa seems to get more breaks than Mandy did because of her ability to really fatten up the puppies. With Tessa taking more breaks, we are trying to get in more and spend time with each puppy on a personal basis so each of the puppy is used to the extra attention. I also wanted to share with you our latest video which we just finished tonight.

Latest video produced 8/24/2010
Well here is the second video in the collection. The puppies continue to grow, one is so fat that she ends up rolling a lot. See if you can find her in the video. All the puppies are being really sweet. Tessa doesn't mine us picking them up and interacting with the puppies. New weights will be posted on the web site.
